Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

Since joining Patriot Mobile in 2020, and as a conservative young woman, I have been looking forward to participating in the March for Life with my colleagues.  Last year, Patriot Mobile sent four people to our nation’s Capital. The stories they came home with about being surrounded by hundreds of thousands of like-minded individuals that share our passion to protect the sanctity of life was awe inspiring - 2020 was the year of hope and so much progress.

Patriot Mobile’s CEO, Ron Montgomery, described the atmosphere of the 2020 March for Life as “electric.”  The crowd was like no other you may have experienced - impressive, articulate, friendly, loving, and young!  High School students, college students, churches, and groups of friends from all across the United States bonded together by the mission of forgiveness, outreach, and acceptance.  Students for Life coined this movement the “Pro-Life Generation” and called these young people the “History Makers” who will make history by reversing Roe v. Wade by bringing the pro-life movement back to the states.

Over the two days our Patriot Mobile team was in DC, they witnessed many firsts. The 2020 March for Life was the first-ever attended by a sitting U.S. President.  The crowd cheered as Donald Trump spoke of his many pro-life accomplishments from appointed many conservative judges and to diverting federal funding away from Planned Parenthood.  The cheers rose to a roar when Trump stated, “unborn children have never had a stronger defender in the White House,” and “together, we are the voice of the voiceless.”

Patriot Mobile was also privileged to contribute to the first-ever annual National Pro-Life Summit.  This event was the brainchild of Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America. More than 3,500 people attended.  Amazingly, the vast majority were high school and college students.  Over 60 pro-life organizations shared their knowledge.  One of the primary objectives of the event was to provide students with the most comprehensive pro-life training, so they would have the tools to fight for the unborn.

Patriot Mobile has been honored to partner with Students for Life of America and others in the fight for Sanctity of Life. Pro-life activists have raised this question about abortion, Does Love Really Win?

This year, the March was virtual to protect the small group of pro-life leaders who marched to the Supreme Court, as well as the many law enforcement personnel, who each year work tirelessly to ensure a safe and peaceful event.  Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life, described the March as a “lot more sober and lot more fearful.” It was not nearly as boisterous and joyful as years past.  Star Parker described the streets as eerie with so much barb wired and armed guards.  But the leaders marched in solidarity to be the voice for the voiceless.

This year’s theme for the March for Life as “Together Strong, Life Unites.” Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life reminded us that we all have a critical and irreplaceable role to play in building a culture of life.  She called for “diversity to unify” and said that “each of us has a unique gift to bring to the table and when we lock arms, we are much stronger together.”

Heisman trophy winner and one of the March’s speakers, Tim Tebow, asked each of us to stay in the fight and choose the best interest of other people and act on their behalf like Jesus did for us.  He encouraged us by saying “we can endure every hardship because loving people is our mission.”  He summarized his speech with this Scripture: “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7

Even though I was not able to attend in person, the virtually event was inspiring and very informative.  Each of the speakers wanted us to know that there are actions we can take together to promote the pro-life movement.  These include:

  • Texting 73075 and typing March. You will receive a link from the March for Life with an email you can send you state senators and representative.  I did and received a thank you from Senators Cruz and Cornyn, my Texas Senators.
  • Another way to make your voice heard, tweet the reasons you are Pro-LIFE using #WhyWeMarch. Patriot Mobile did this several times during the March.
  • Participate in one of the many state marches that March for Life is organizing in 2021. The first is scheduled in Annapolis, MD on March 1. Followed by the International Gift of Life Walk in NY on March 21 and then the Midwest March for Life on April 14, in Jefferson City, MO.
  • As Franklin Graham’s daughter, Cissie Graham Lynch, implored, pray for “the current Administration that their hearts will be softened for them to know God created life.”
  • Share the movie “Unplanned” with your friends.
  • For inspiration, listen to Grammy Christian signer, Matthew West, song titled “Unplanned” which essentially reminds us that there are no such things as accidents. See a stanza from his lyrics below.
  • Email you state senators and representatives and ask them to implore President Biden to reverse his January 28, 2021 Executive Order which rescinded the Mexico City Policy, marking an end to a four-year period under the Trump administration that saw the greatest expansion of the policy in its history. This policy was first announced in 1984 by the Reagan administration, and has been rescinded and reinstated by subsequent administrations along party lines for the past 36 years. The policy required foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to certify that they would not “perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning” using funds from any source as a condition of receiving U.S. government global family planning funding. In rescinding the policy, President Biden required agencies involved in foreign assistance to immediately end the imposition of the policy in future awards, waive the policy’s application in existing awards, and notify recipients as soon as possible that the policy conditions have been waived.

There is more that can be done to make your voices heard. Patriot Mobile stands with the Pro-Life Movement.  Because of our incredible members, we contributed over $100,000 to the pro-life movement during 2020 and plan to contribute even more in 2021. In January alone, we contributed approximately $20,000 to various pro-life causes in honor of the March for Life.  Thank you for standing with us.  You are making a difference!
